Chapter 003

Tulum as a Strategic Node

Regeneration, Technology, and Community: The Truth Beyond the Noise

Teresa Castagnino · October 2025

Before anything else: I’m Teresa Castagnino, founder of Like Group Management (LGM), a platform of representation, positioning and acceleration of talents and projects born in Tulum operating globally. From this node we propel media like Forbes, festivals, bootcamps, Web3 ecosystems and tokenization programs connecting Latin America with the wider world.

I’m also co-founder of Tulum Crypto Fest (TCF), a festival created in 2020 — amid pandemic — transforming into a convergence point for communities, emerging technologies, and novel ways of inhabiting the world.

Beyond the Noise

Recently, Tulum has been targeted by intense negative social media campaigns. Certainly, exploitation by consciousness-disconnected corporations and unregulated expansion brought structural challenges. Yet Tulum simultaneously functions as a living laboratory of innovation, connection, and regeneration.

During pandemic shutdown, when most closed, Tulum remained accessible, welcoming those pursuing freer, more conscious, more connected existence.

Here emerged the Tulum Crypto Club, spawning Tulum Crypto Fest — a space continuously expanding technology infused with purpose, business animated by meaning, relationships genuinely mattering.

TCF: A Technological Ritual

TCF isn’t merely an event — it’s a technological ritual. It’s experience you don’t schedule: you inhabit it. Space where jungle becomes stage, technology becomes human, community transforms into living network.

We arrive not simply to “network” — we arrive recalling that humanity remains central.

The Real Tulum

Today, numerous observe distantly and critique. And certainly: police corruption, taxi monopolies, mafia presence exist. Not exclusively in Tulum, but systematically throughout Mexico, Latin America, globally.

What rarely gets articulated: Tulum additionally pioneers novel governance approaches, unprecedented ownership frameworks, decentralized emerging ecosystems.

Those investing through avarice now withdraw bewildered. However, those arriving through vision, soul, and purpose recognize this terrain as enchanted — and comprehend that what happens here, does so meaningfully.

Choosing to Be the Solution

Constructing airports, launching the Tren Maya, inaugurating parks constitutes merely infrastructure. What matters now: operating, nourishing, projecting that vision internationally.

From LGM, Tulum Crypto Fest, and numerous nodes we construct, we select not remaining in critique — we select action. We select infusing soul, structure, and coherence into existing construction.

If this terrain proves sacred, it likewise deserves custodians protecting it through vision, not merely discourse.
